Christopher A. Lamps, MD, FAACAP

I obtained a BA in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame and a MD from Vanderbilt University. My credentials include Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry with sub-specialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I offer a combination of medication, individual, and family based therapies to children and adolescents. While I have a broad range of clinical experience, my areas of special interest and experience include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and Eating Disorders.

My treatment philosophy hinges on personalized care and recommendations that respect the autonomy and privacy of my clients. I use treatment approaches that include principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology, family therapy, relationship enhancement, and philosophical stoicism. I welcome a variety of spiritual perspectives in understanding life, illness, and growth. I do not accept reimbursement from insurance companies. My services are reimbursable as Health Savings Account (HSA) expenditures with high deductible insurance policies.

I am only able to accept a very limited number of new patients. At many times of the year, I am unable to accept any new patients.

Current Fee Schedule:

The following are fees for psychiatric evaluation and treatment. We take payment by cash, check, or credit card.

Initial Evaluation (90 minutes): $220

25 minute follow up visit: $90

40 minute follow up visit: $130

55 minute follow up visit: $160

Genetic testing: included with visit fee

Extended phone calls (more than 5 minutes) are billed at $15 for each 5 minute block.

Telephone/online medication refills: $10

Forms/letters: Charges begin at $20 per document

Other clinical services are billed at $160 per hour

Forensic or legal consultation: $300 per hour with 4 hour minimum

Returned check fee: $25 per check

No wait guarantee: 25% discount if you arrive on time and are not seen within 5 minutes of your appointment time.

Missed appointments or late cancellations are billed at $75 each.
